Kawasaki Motors Corp., of Foothill Ranch, California, has recalled approximately 15,000 of the 2013-2017 model-year KFX50 and the 2012-2017 model-year KFX90 Kawasaki all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).
Kawasaki has received 18 reports of fuel leakage from the fuel tap. No injuries have been reported. According to Kawasaki:
On eligible units, fuel can leak from the fuel tap when it is turned to operate the valve.”
Kawasaki is offering owners a free repair and urges consumers to stop using the recalled ATVs immediately.
The recalled ATVs were sold at Kawasaki dealers nationwide from October 2011 through May 2017 for between $2,000 and $2,600.
The model name is printed on the right and left front fender. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is located on the front of the steel frame behind the bumper.
